General English / Exam Preparation
Aims
To improve your general English. Our courses focus on grammar, every day expressions, vocabulary building and developing the four skills: reading, writing, listening and speaking. Our small class sizes enable our lessons to be communicative and particularly beneficial to students who wish to develop their confidence in English.
Students must be 18+.
Maximum 10 adults per class.
All levels, subject to availability. Exam preparation courses will have a minimum entry requirement, relevant to the exam.
Dates and Times
Please note – year round adult group classes are not currently running due to insufficient student numbers. If you are interested in a course, please contact us and we will be able to discuss the options with you. (January 2026) We hope to start classes again soon!
Monday – Thursday: 9.15am – 12.45pm
Friday: 9.15am – 12.30pm
Afternoon classes: 1.45pm- 4.30pm
Part time courses are also available. Minimum two mornings per week.

Exams
IELTS and Cambridge exam preparation are available upon request. Specialist exams may be available on a one-to-one basis.
Exam fees vary from £150 – £200. These are not included in the course price.

If you have limited time and would like to make the most of your holiday, our Adult Summer School programme combines our general English course with a busy sight-seeing and social programme.

One to One Tuition
Aims
If you prefer to study alone or you would like to study specific elements of English, then one to one tuition may be the right choice for you. Students can choose to study one to one for their complete course, or combine it with group classes. Studying one to one can be a great way to learn quickly as we are able to focus on your specific needs.

We are able to work around your timetable for one to one sessions, subject to availability.

English for Specific Purposes
Make the most of your short stay in England with an intensive study programme. If your group has a specific interest, please let us know and we can organise a study programme around your subject.
